Texas Undergraduate Fund (TUF) is McCombs' newest experiential learning program, giving undergraduates the chance to research and recommend for a live investment portfolio as investment analysts. Over a two-semester sequence, FIN 377: Investment Fund Class I in the fall and Class II in the spring, members conduct fundamental research, build financial models, pitch investment ideas, and produce investment recommendations that inform portfolio decisions, the same process used by professional asset managers.
Admission is competitive: 24 students are selected each year through an application and interview process. Beyond portfolio work, members receive mentorship, guest speakers, and networking opportunities with investment professionals, alumni, and faculty, building the skills for careers in asset management, equity research, investment banking, and finance more broadly.
